Our 1st XI men’s squad returned to training on Monday ahead of another busy 2024. We caught up with head coach Tom Lambert as the count down to the summer is in full flow.
“I always enjoy the first session back after Xmas. Before the festive break cobwebs are being brushed off and the intensity is much less. But as soon as the new year kicks in there’s a change in the lads and the room and I felt that on Monday.”
“Availability of players is such that we have good access to a large number of the squad for the next 12 weeks. Only Rhys Lewis and Luke Beaven are abroad whilst Johnny Connell, Charlie Dunnett , Rhodri Lewis and Adam Searle are at university, but most of them we’ve seen and will see moving forward so we’ll get plenty of time together leading into the summer to build towards 2024.”

Berkshire start their pre season with a trip to Newport CC where they take on Cardiff UCCE on April 7th.
