Berkshire Cricket is proud to announce the return of the highly anticipated Women’s Softball Cricket World Cup, now in its third year, taking place on 22nd June 2026 at Crowthorne & Crownwood Cricket Club.
What began as a pioneering community initiative has quickly grown into one of the county’s most inspiring and vibrant celebrations of women’s sport. Now entering its third year, the tournament continues to showcase the power of cricket to unite communities and celebrate cultural diversity across Berkshire.
Led by Michelle Jeyarajah, Women and Girls Development Officer, the Women’s Softball World Cup was created to highlight and embrace the rich cultural backgrounds within Berkshire’s women’s cricketing community. Previous tournaments have featured teams representing Italy, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Australia, the West Indies, South Africa, and England — creating a unique and joyful festival atmosphere both on and off the field.
More than a competition, the event has become a powerful symbol of inclusion and belonging. Players and spectators have shared traditional food and drinks from their home countries, built lasting friendships, and demonstrated how sport can transcend borders and bring people together.
Following two successful years and continued demand from participants and supporters, the 2026 tournament promises to be the biggest and most exciting yet.
