Head coach Tom Lambert has named a 14 man squad for our opening T20 pre season encounter with Middlesex Academy at Wormsley Estate this coming Sunday. Two T20’s will be played on the day as our lads warm up for the start of the NCCA T20 competition which starts on April 28th. The 14 man squad can be seen below:
We caught up with Tom Lambert to discuss selection and our first run out of the summer.
“We’re looking forward to a busy weekend. We train at Wormsley on Saturday and then play Middlesex Academy in two T20’s on the Sunday. After a long winter it’s nice, weather permitting of course, to finally get outside and get some game time and overs into the legs.”
“As it’s pre season we’ll take the opportunity to get as much time on task into players over the two games as we can, meaning we’ll take 14 players who will all have the opportunity to stake a claim in our starting XI when the competition starts for real at the end of the month. We’re looking forward to getting started.”
