After a thrilling morning of back-to-back matches, the Slough Un 14s girls made it through to the finals against Thornhill.
Slough batted first and put on a score of 52 for 2 in 6 overs, a couple of early wickets in the first 2 overs steered the game in the right direction for the Slough street team which secured them the win in the end!
The player of the tournament was Habiba Arslan from Slough. Habiba was one of the first participants who joined street cricket when the program was launched in 2018. Habiba has been working hard at Slough CC to transition to hardball and is getting ready for the Berkshire Country observations!

Chance to Shine Street Cricket Clubs typically running every week, all year-round, the clubs give young people the opportunity to develop their cricket and life skills, whilst also taking part in informal matches.
The clubs run after school or on weekends, they are completely free, players don’t need to bring any equipment and can wear whatever they like. The sessions run in sports halls, youth clubs, parks, places of worship and community centres. Most clubs are open to all genders, but in some locations, we run girls only sessions.
Young people are given ownership of sessions so each club looks different – whether they want to progress their skills, or just want to have a fun time with their friends, our coaches will look to accommodate it, no matter the age or ability.
