Monday 7th October will see a new Lords Taverners Super 1’s Hub start at Wokingham Leisure Centre. The new hub will provide opportunities for young people with a disability the chance to take part in weekly cricket sessions. By attending the hub, participants will improve their cricketing skills whilst making new friends.
The new hub will play a vital role in increasing Berkshire Cricket’s disability offer, which now sees 4 weekly venues hosting inclusive cricket throughout the year. By being part of our hubs, participants will have regular opportunity to represent their hub in both indoor and outdoor competitions, as well as being a part of our annual Disability Cricket Festival in June.
Berkshire Cricket continues to diversify its disability cricket offer, with 2025 a target to run a full, hard ball county side alongside our soft ball hubs. This will mean cricket is available at every level for young disabled people in the county from All Stars to County Cricket. Our Super 1’s hubs will continue to play a crucial role in introducing young people to cricket for the first time and helping to develop the skills required to be a confident cricketer.
Our new Wokingham hub will run Monday 5-6pm at Wokingham Leisure Centre RG40 2AF.
