ECB Launches New Free Micro-Learning Series for Coaches
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has launched an exciting new series of online micro-learning experiences designed to support coaches with practical, flexible and relevant development opportunities.
Created by the ECB Coach Development team, the new programme provides short, accessible learning modules that coaches can complete around their existing commitments — all completely free of charge.
The initial series focuses on four key areas of modern coaching:
- Neuroinclusive coaching
- Creating belonging
- Planning for player development
- Practice design and the STEP framework
Each module has been designed to give coaches practical ideas and approaches they can immediately apply within their own sessions and environments.
The first module, now available through ECB e-learning, explores neuroinclusive coaching. The learning experience helps coaches better understand how players think, learn and communicate, enabling them to adapt their coaching style to create more inclusive, supportive and effective environments.
Through a combination of videos, podcasts and real-life scenarios, coaches will explore strategies to:
- Strengthen relationships with players
- Support individual learning needs
- Enhance player development and performance
The micro-learning module takes approximately 20 minutes to complete, making it an ideal resource for coaches looking to continue their development in a manageable and impactful way.
