Meet Chris Baker, Berkshire Cricket’s dedicated Disability Officer, who has been making a difference since 25 October 2021.
About His Role:
Chris delivers and develops the Lords Taverners Super 1’s programme across Berkshire, bringing cricket to communities and schools. Through his work, he helps ensure that cricket is inclusive and accessible for everyone, creating opportunities for players of all abilities to enjoy the game.
What He Loves Most:
“Meeting so many amazing people, each with their own unique personality.”
Off the Field:
Chris is a cricket fanatic—he plays, watches, and breathes cricket, following the Glorious Gloucestershire. His sporting hero is Freddie Flintoff, who captured his 10-year-old imagination during the 2005 Ashes.
Vision for Cricket:
Chris dreams of having at least one red ball game every day of the year, including Christmas Day!
Fun Fact:
Chris can make numerous animal noises with his mouth, adding a touch of fun wherever he goes.
