Shristi Patil Selected for England U19 Winter Training Squad

Berkshire Cricket is delighted to share that Shristi Patil has been selected for the England U19 Winter Training Squad.

Shristi joined the Berkshire pathway as an U11 and has progressed through every stage of our County Age Group programme. Now an U17, she continues to represent our U18 side as well as the Women’s 1st XI. Alongside this, she is part of the Southern Vipers Regional Academy programme delivered by Hampshire.

This selection recognises Shristi’s continued development and the hard work she has put in over a number of years. It also reflects the support of her club, coaches and the Berkshire pathway environment.

Richard Bedbrook, England Women’s Head of Performance Pathways, said:

“For the U19s squad, there are eight camps at the National Cricket Performance Centre across the winter as this programme builds towards a tri-series against Australia and Sri Lanka in March and April 2026. The final England Women U19 touring party for the tri-series will be determined in the New Year.”

We congratulate Shristi on this achievement and look forward to seeing her continue her progress on the international stage.

Berkshire Cricket’s Extra Provision Group

Berkshire Cricket’s Extra Provision Group (EPG) is a fully funded programme delivered by the county. It provides weekly additional coaching and development support for high-potential female players, helping bridge the gap from county cricket into regional EPP environments.

Now in its third year, the EPG has played a key role in the progress of several players recognised in this announcement. Nine players have now moved from the EPG into a Regional EPP, and this pathway continues to be an important part of how we support talented girls across Berkshire.

Want to make an impact? Sponsor the Extra Provision Group

Our Extra Provision Group is one of the most important investments we make in the girls pathway. It is delivered above and beyond the core funding we receive and has already proven to be a key driver in helping Berkshire players take the next step towards regional cricket.

As the programme grows, so does the cost of running it, and we are now looking for a partner to help us continue this work and expand the support we can offer. A sponsorship of the Extra Provision Group would directly impact the development of talented young female cricketers in Berkshire and help us keep the programme fully funded for families.

I would like to discuss partnering with Berkshire Cricket for 2026
