🧑 About Lee
Lee Collett didn’t arrive at the foundation with a background in cricket — in fact, when she started at BCF she said: “I knew nothing about cricket! I am still new to it and know very little about the game!”
But she quickly found her feet, and her role has grown to become an indispensable part of the team.
In her position, Lee works across a wide range of administration tasks: responding to inboxes, liaising with parents, managing system updates, organising venue bookings, and providing administration support for the quarterly Board meetings. The role is part-time and flexible which Lee appreciates but its “ working with a great bunch of people!” that is the best part.
🎯 Why the Role Matters
Lee’s behind-the-scenes contributions keep the BCF engine running smoothly. From parent communication to logistical coordination, she ensures that both routine and special operations (like Board meetings) proceed seamlessly. Her support enables the wider team and volunteers to focus on the cricket-related mission, safe in the knowledge that administration is in capable hands.
🌟 Off the Pitch
When she’s not supporting the foundation, Lee spends her time with her four-legged friends — both horses and hounds. She’s also a fully-qualified HGV driver and jokingly says: “The bigger the better.”
🏅 Sporting Hero & Inspiration
Lee cites Laura Collett (no relation) — the Olympic gold-medallist in eventing — as her sporting hero. She admires Laura’s hard work, dedication, talent, plus the way she has beaten the odds to reach the top of her sport. For Lee, Laura is “an inspiration and so deserving of all that she has achieved.”

This motto underpins Lee’s approach to her role — flexible, willing, and supportive of growth, even when the topic (cricket) is something she is still discovering.
