Reading Midweek Cricket League 50 Years of Community Cricket & Counting
The Reading Midweek Cricket League (RMCL), established in 1975, continues to play a vital role in supporting and developing recreational cricket across the Reading area. Now in its 51st year, the league remains committed to its founding principles of accessibility, inclusivity, and competitive sport.
The RMCL provides low-cost, competitive cricket for players of all ages and abilities, offering an ideal environment for both experienced cricketers and those new to the game. Matches are played midweek, making the league particularly attractive to working players and clubs seeking flexible cricket opportunities.
In addition to its regular league competition, the RMCL also runs a popular Knockout Cup, adding another exciting and competitive dimension to the season and giving teams the chance to compete for silverware.
The league prides itself on fostering a friendly yet competitive atmosphere, helping to strengthen local cricket clubs and encourage participation across the community.
