🌟 Staff Spotlight: Becky Hartnett – Participation Coach
Meet Becky Hartnett, one of Berkshire Cricket’s Participation Coaches, who joined the team in April 2025. Becky is passionate about inspiring young people and helping them discover a love for cricket.
About Her Role
Becky spends her time visiting schools, delivering fun and exciting cricket sessions designed to engage pupils and spark enthusiasm for the sport. Her goal is to inspire the next generation of cricketers, while supporting young people’s personal growth through cricket.
What She Loves Most
“Getting the chance to share my love for the sport with a whole bunch of new people. Seeing children enjoy cricket and watching them grow as a person.”
Her Sporting Life
Becky plays cricket for Odiham and Greywell and loves watching live matches whenever she gets the chance.
During the winter months, she swaps bat and ball for a hockey stick, playing hockey for Alton, making sure her weekends stay just as busy when cricket season ends.
Favourite Cricketer
Ellyse Perry – admired for being an international athlete in two sports, with an unmatched work ethic that has helped her become one of the world’s best cricketers.

Becky has a twin sister who also works in cricket, making sport a real family affair.
