Berkshire Cricket Launches Young Volunteers Programme for 2026
Berkshire Cricket has announced the launch of the Young Volunteers powered by The Young Cricket Collective 2026programme, an exciting new opportunity for young people aged 14–18 to get involved in cricket through coaching, officiating and club leadership.
Delivered across three modules in one day—Activator, Young Officials, and Club Leader—the course is designed to develop leadership, teamwork, communication and organisational skills while offering a fun and inclusive environment. Participants will gain practical experience in coaching activities, umpiring fundamentals and the vital volunteer roles that help cricket clubs thrive.
The programme also supports Duke of Edinburgh volunteering hours, enhances CVs and future applications, and provides a first step towards becoming a qualified coach, umpire or scorer. Young people will receive branded merchandise, certificates of completion, and access to an online learning portal and resources.
This initiative aims to inspire the next generation of cricket volunteers and leaders across Berkshire.
