Berkshire Cricket Marks 100 Days to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup

Berkshire Cricket has officially launched its 100-Day Countdown to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, marking the milestone with a high-energy Secondary School Cricket Takeover at Herschel Grammar School on 4 March 2026.

With England set to host the global tournament this summer, Berkshire Cricket is delivering a county-wide programme of activity designed to inspire the next generation and celebrate the continued growth of the women’s game.

100 Days to Go: Inspiring the Next Generation

The countdown began in Slough, where Women & Girls Development Officer Michelle Jeyarajah led an inspiring all-girls World Cup assembly, followed by a girls-only cricket PE takeover.

Speaking at the launch, Michelle Jeyarajah said:

“Launching our 100-day countdown at Herschel Grammar School makes this milestone even more special. It’s a fantastic opportunity to inspire young people — especially girls — to give cricket a try and feel connected to a world-class sporting event taking place right here in England. This is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting and impactful few months for women’s and girls’ cricket across Berkshire.”

Building a Lasting Legacy

Alongside on-field activity, Berkshire Cricket will highlight local playing pathways, club opportunities and development programmes available across the county.

While the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 promises to deliver unforgettable moments on the global stage, Berkshire Cricket’s 100-Day Countdown is focused on ensuring the impact is felt locally — building confidence, participation and enthusiasm for women’s and girls’ cricket long after the final ball is bowled.
