Berkshire Cricket Walking Cricket Cup set to celebrate participation and competition at Purley on Thames CC
Berkshire Cricket is delighted to announce the upcoming Walking Cricket Cup, taking place on Friday 26th June at Purley on Thames Cricket Club, bringing together four local clubs for a celebration of cricket, community and participation.
The event will see teams from Purley on Thames Cricket Club, Falkland Cricket Club, Holyport Cricket Club, and Mortimer & West End Cricket Club go head-to-head in a fun and competitive round-robin tournament.
With the emphasis on enjoyment, teamwork and keeping active through cricket, the tournament will feature an 8-over innings format, giving players the opportunity to compete in a relaxed but competitive environment while showcasing the inclusive nature of the game.
Play will begin from 9:30am onwards, with all teams taking part in a series of fixtures throughout the morning. Once the matches are completed, players and guests will come together for lunch and the chance to celebrate the day’s cricket.
