Meet The Team – Ryan Allan

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Ryan Allan – Commercial Director

Meet Ryan Allan, Berkshire Cricket’s Commercial Director, who joined the organisation in May 2025. Ryan leads the commercial strategy for the county, supporting the sustainable growth of the game both on and off the field.

About His Role

Ryan leads all commercial activity for Berkshire Cricket, including managing sponsorships and partnerships, developing new income opportunities, and working closely with clubs, players, volunteers, and partners across the county.

He also oversees brand, marketing, and communications, supports the delivery of events and programmes, and works closely with the board and staff team to turn strategy into meaningful action.

What He Loves Most

Coming into cricket from outside the sport, Ryan enjoys learning its unique culture and structure. He values the opportunity to build a commercial strategy from the ground up, supported by a team that is open to new ideas and committed to the growth and success of Berkshire Cricket.

Sporting Background

Although Ryan doesn’t play cricket (the last time was probably in the 1990s!), he is deeply involved in sport.
He plays men’s netball and has previously represented England, competing against some of the best teams in the world.

Ryan continues to play social mixed netball, coaches teams in his spare time, and is the Chair and Founder of the England Men’s & Mixed Netball Association. He also sits on an advisory panel for World Netball, focusing on inclusion and the global growth of the sport.

Sporting Inspiration

Kobe Bryant – admired for his work ethic, discipline, and never-give-up attitude, as well as the high standards he set for himself and those around him.

Vision for Sport

Ryan is passionate about removing barriers to participation across sport.
With rising costs and limited access to facilities, he believes no one should be prevented from taking part due to finances or availability — sport should be open and accessible to everyone.

Fun Fact

Ryan once appeared in a Weetabix advert as a junior surf lifesaver on Bondi Beach.
(Don’t Google it — the internet and smartphones didn’t exist back then!)

Personal Motto

Ryan doesn’t live by a single quote, but believes in never shying away from a new challenge and always being willing to step outside your comfort zone.

Berkshire Cricket is proud to have Ryan driving commercial growth while championing inclusion, opportunity, and innovation across the game.
