We are delighted to congratulate Francesca Sweet on signing a two-year contract with Hampshire Women, following a successful trial with the club ahead of the 2026 season.
Cesca spent the past 3 seasons playing with Berkshire having represented Sussex at age group level. Ahead of the 2025 season, Cesca successfully trialled with Leicestershire before being offered an opportunity to play Tier 2 cricket last summer. While playing for Leicestershire, Cesca continued to play for Berkshire at any available opportunity.
During her time with the Foxes in 2025 she amassed 315 runs in the Women’s Metro Bank One Day Cup League Two, including a brilliant 138 against Derbyshire, and was the second-leading run-scorer in the Vitality Blast League Two as Leicestershire reached Finals Day.
Cesca was a very popular member of the 1st team squad and everyone at Berkshire will be looking forward to seeing her represent the Rose & Crown in 2026.
