Neal Robinson Achieves ECB Specialist Coach (Level 4) Qualification
Berkshire Cricket is delighted to congratulate Head of Performance Neal Robinson on successfully completing the ECB Specialist Coach (Level 4) qualification — the highest level of coaching accreditation in English cricket.
The ECB Specialist Coach programme is designed for coaches working within talent pathway, performance, professional and international environments across England and Wales. The qualification builds on a coach’s existing experience to further develop their knowledge, skills and confidence, while challenging current thinking around cricket coaching and encouraging the development of specialist expertise when working with individuals, units and teams.
Entry onto the programme is through a competitive annual application and selection process and is open only to coaches who already hold the ECB Advanced Coach qualification (or an equivalent) and are working within high-performance environments.
As Berkshire Cricket’s Head of Performance, Neal leads the county’s Performance Team and works closely with players across the pathway to help them reach their potential. His approach focuses on creating environments that both challenge and support players, enabling them to develop the skills, confidence and mindset required to perform with clarity and purpose.
Neal has put a huge amount of effort into achieving this next level qualification, at the same time as leading a highly effective talent pathway. Neal has always been a leader within our team, and is constantly looking at ways in which we can improve the experience for players, and the record of players progressing from Berkshire into the pro game is testament to this.
