Berkshire Stags Crowned 2025 Southern Development League Champions
The Berkshire Stags have been crowned 2025 Southern Development League Champions for Blind, V.I. and Disabled Cricket – their fourth consecutive title. 🏆
The final match of the season took place on 7th September at Bracknell C.C., where the Stags battled both a strong Hampshire side and difficult autumnal conditions. Despite a gritty performance from the visitors, the Stags held firm to close out the campaign unbeaten in league play since 2019.
Award-Winning Season
The team’s success was capped with individual honours at the BCEW Development Level Awards 2025:
-
Moshfique Ahmed was named Total Batter of the Year, recognising his outstanding contributions throughout the season.
-
Sam Hoskins was also shortlisted for the same award, underlining the Stags’ strength and consistency.
A Team Effort
Captain Thomas Froud lifted the trophy alongside his teammates, who once again combined skill, spirit, and determination. Off the field, the Stags paid tribute to their tireless supporters, umpires, scorers, and volunteers – the driving force behind another successful season.
Looking Ahead
The Stags now look forward to celebrating their record-breaking season at the club’s AGM and Christmas meal later this year.
Congratulations to everyone involved with the Berkshire Stags on another unforgettable year of cricket. 👏
