Player Spotlight: Poppy Camplin
Over the winter, we’ll be profiling some of our brilliant men’s and women’s first-team players in our weekly newsletters. This week, we shine the spotlight on wicketkeeper-batter Poppy Camplin, a player who’s come through the Berkshire and Falkland CC ranks in recent years.
Cricket Role: Wicketkeeper-Batter
First Played for Berkshire: 2016 – aged 8
Favourite/Proudest Memory: Scoring my maiden T20 century for the Berkshire U18 Girls.
2026 Cricketing Goal: Retain the league with the team.
Cricketing Hero: Alyssa Healy – she’s insane and mentally strong.
One Thing to Change About Cricket: Dodgy umpires!
Fun Fact/Hidden Talent: I can learn a song after hearing it once.
Favourite Quote/Motto: If it’s something you’re really scared to do, it’s probably the thing you need to do most!
We wish Poppy and the rest of the team all the best for the winter and season ahead as Berkshire look to continue to develop young players and achieve success.
