Berkshire Cricket Recruiting Women’s 1st XI Assistant Coach for 2026 Season
Berkshire Cricket are inviting applications for the role of Women’s 1st XI Assistant Coach to support the team’s 2026 Tier 3 campaign.
The club is seeking a casual cricket coach who is passionate about developing women’s cricket and contributing to a positive, inclusive and high-performance environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Women’s 1st XI coaching team to support both training and matchday delivery throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities

Support the planning and delivery of high-quality training sessions

Assist with matchday preparation and in-game delivery during the season

Contribute to a positive, inclusive and high-performance team environment

Provide individual and unit-based coaching support, including technical and tactical feedback
Essential Qualifications & Skills
-
Minimum ECB Core Coach qualification (or equivalent)

Experience working with bowling units (desirable)

Valid ECB DBS Certificate

Safeguarding & Protecting Children Certificate
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work collaboratively within a coaching team

Availability to commit to the majority of outlined training sessions and matchdays

Contract Type: Casual

Remuneration: Paid role, based on experience and in line with payment policy

Location: Training in Reading; matchdays at various locations (including national travel)
