Berkshire Cricket Launches Additional Summer Holiday Sessions Across the County
Berkshire Cricket is delighted to announce that new dates have now been added to its popular free All Stars and Dynamos summer introduction programmes, giving even more children the opportunity to experience cricket during the school holidays.
Following strong interest in the programmes, families can now book places on a range of summer holiday sessions taking place across Reading, Slough and Maidenhead. The sessions are designed to introduce young people to cricket in a fun, welcoming and inclusive environment.
More than 450 children took part in Berkshire Cricket’s summer introduction programmes last year, with sessions delivered by Berkshire Cricket’s participation coaching team. The programmes are open to children aged 5–8 years (All Stars) and 8–11 years (Dynamos), helping young people build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy being active with friends.
New Summer Holiday Dates Added
Dynamos Intro sessions will run throughout the summer holidays at:
- Mondays Afternoons – Claycots Britwell, Slough
- Tuesday Mornings – Furze Platt School Maidenhead
- Tuesday Afternoons – Palmer Park, Reading
- Wednesday Mornings – Cintra Park Reading
- Wednesday Afternoons – Slough Singh Sabha Sports Centre
- Thursday Mornings – Prospect Park, Reading
- Thursday Afternoons – Dedworth Middle School, Maidenhead
- Friday Mornings – Salt Hill Park, Slough
- Friday Afternoons – Lascelles Park, Slough
All sessions are completely free of charge, with participants also receiving a free Dynamos t-shirt.
The programme continues to support children from diverse communities and areas of deprivation through funded bursary places, helping to remove barriers to participation and ensuring cricket is accessible to everyone.
Ally Darlow, who leads the programme for Berkshire Cricket, said:
“We want 2026 to be our most inclusive summer yet. These programmes are about much more than cricket – they provide children with the chance to be active, make new friends, learn new skills and build confidence in a fun environment. With these additional dates now available, we’re encouraging even more families to come along and give cricket a try this summer.”
