Berkshire Cricket is delighted to congratulate Mia Rogers and Francesca Sweet following their wildcard picks for this year’s edition of The Hundred.
Before progressing into the professional game both Mia & Cesca spent time with the Berkshire Women’s Talent Pathway. Mia now playing her cricket in the north-east with Durham will represent Manchester Super Giants. Cesca who only signed her first professional contract with Hampshire this year has been picked by MI London.
Mia rose through the ranks of our pathway starting out with our U11s while also playing her club cricket with Henley. Mia then made her Berkshire 1st team debut in 2017 before going on to play 56 times with the most recent being in 2024. Having spent time as part of the Sunrisers regional set up while attending university in Durham, Mia signed with Tier 1 side Durham during the formation of the Tiered structure ahead of the 2025 season.
Cesca, who lives locally, joined Berkshire Women in 2024 having represented Sussex at age group level. Cesca’s journey is a perfect example of how the Tier system can work to ensure girls have access to a clear, appropriate and aspirational pathway into the Women’s Professional Game. In March 2025, Cesca was preparing with Berkshire for a summer with Berkshire in Tier 3. Fast forward 15 months, Cesca is now a franchise cricketer. In that time, Cesca has split her time between Leicestershire in Tier 2 and Berkshire in Tier 3 in 2025 before signing with Hampshire in Tier 1 ahead of the 2026 season whilst also being part of Loughborough University’s Performance Cricket programme.

Their success is an inspiration to the next generation of Berkshire players and a testament to the hard work they have put in.
