Congratulations to Welford Park and Windsor Cricket Clubs who have been awarded Accredited Club Status Level One as part of the ECB’s Accredited Club Pilot Programme 2026. This programme was open to clubs who did not hold Clubmark accreditation from the 2022-2025 period.
The 2026 Pilot Programme is a one-year transition programme for clubs who want to achieve accredited status a year early. It bridges the gap between Clubmark which ended in 2025 and the new ECB Accredited status which launches fully in 2027.
Accreditation empowers clubs to proudly showcase their commitment to being well run, community-focused places where players, volunteers and families feel they belong.
There will be further news later in the year regarding the full programme in 2027.

To enable clubs to prepare for the 2027 launch, follow the below tips
-
Start by preparing documentation early e.g. constitution, AGM/EGM minutes, signed safeguarding policy statement, committee structure, recent bank statements.
-
Review your constitution. Ensure it is open and adopts ECB Anti-Discrimination and Safeguarding regulations.
-
Get SHMS compliant. Check your club safeguarding officer, coaches and committee members are all vetted and registered.
-
Make accreditation a standing agenda item at your committee meetings
-
Use the Club Affiliation Toolkit. It contains templates, checklists and step-by-step guides.
