The wait is over – the red-ball season is here.
Berkshire begin their 2026 NCCA Championship campaign this Sunday as we welcome Oxfordshire to Falkland Cricket Club for the first three-day fixture of the season. Play gets underway at 11:00am on Sunday and continues through to Tuesday.
There’s always plenty on the line when these two neighbouring counties meet, and Berkshire will be looking to make the perfect start in front of a home crowd. With a new Championship campaign beginning, both sides will be eager to lay down an early marker in what promises to be a competitive Western Division. Congratulations to young leg-spinner Abdullah Iqbal who has come through our excellent pathway and makes his red ball senior debut for the county
Falkland provides the perfect stage for the opening fixture, and supporters can expect three days of competitive red-ball cricket as Berkshire look to build momentum from the very first session.
