Friends of Berkshire Cricket Partner, Newbury Racecourse, is inviting families from across the county to enjoy a fantastic day of racing, entertainment and sporting fun at its Schools’ Celebration Raceday on Wednesday 26 August 2026.
Designed especially for schools, pupils and families, the event takes place during the final week of the summer holidays and offers a unique combination of live flat racing, interactive activities and educational experiences—making it the perfect family day out before the new school term begins.

As part of the day’s family entertainment, Berkshire Cricket will be running a Cricket Activation Zone, where children can have a go at cricket skills challenges, batting and bowling activities, coaching games and fun competitions. It’s a great opportunity for families to meet the Berkshire Cricket team and find out more about the wide range of junior programmes and local clubs available across the county.
