Maidenhead & Bray U15s Progress in ECB Club T20
Maidenhead & Bray CC Under 15s booked their place in the next round of the ECB U15 Club T20 with a composed six-wicket victory over Copdock & Old Ipswichian CC Under 15A on Sunday.
After winning the toss, the Suffolk side elected to bat first but found scoring difficult against a disciplined Maidenhead & Bray bowling attack. Tight lines and sharp fielding kept the pressure on throughout the innings, restricting Copdock & Old Ipswichian to 107 for 9 from their 20 overs.
Chasing 108 for victory, Maidenhead & Bray approached the target with patience and confidence. Despite losing four wickets, the Berkshire side remained in control of the chase and reached 109 for 4 in 18.4 overs, sealing victory with eight balls to spare and earning a deserved place in the next round.
The win sees Maidenhead & Bray continue their impressive ECB Club T20 campaign and sets up an exciting third-round encounter against the winners of the all-Essex tie between Oakfield Parkonians CC Under 15 and Holmesdale CC U15A.
With both bat and ball contributing to another accomplished team performance, Maidenhead & Bray will head into the next round full of confidence as they look to extend their run in the national competition.
