Berkshire Women Face Cheshire After Competitive Warm-Up
Berkshire Women’s 1st XI take on Cheshire Cricket Board Women’s 1st XI at Binfield Cricket Club in the ECB Women’s County Championship – Metro Bank One Day Cup Women’s League 3, Division 1.
Berkshire warmed up for the fixture with a closely fought game against the Mumbai Cricket Association Presidents Women’s XI at Falkland CC. Batting first, Berkshire posted 165 all out, with Nancy Harman top-scoring with 50 and Naaz Asif Iqbal adding 32. Pippa Sproul contributed 30, while Emily Wilson starred with the ball, taking 4-20.
The MCA Presidents XI chased down the target with 166-8 in 40.4 overs to win by two wickets. Berkshire will take plenty of positives from the contest, particularly their bowling performance, as they now turn their attention to the Cheshire challenge.
With another competitive fixture ahead, Berkshire will be looking to put in a strong performance on home soil and continue their campaign with a positive result.
