Berkshire Blast U19 Finals Day – Cookham Dean CC
The 2025 Berkshire Blast U19 Finals Day was hosted by Cookham Dean Cricket Club, who provided excellent facilities and hospitality for players and spectators alike. The event drew a strong crowd of home supporters, who created a lively atmosphere and were rewarded with a victory for their side in the competition.
Despite the high temperatures, which made conditions particularly challenging for the teams required to play two matches, the standard of cricket across both semi-finals and the final remained impressive.
In the eliminator Theale & Tilehurst faced Wargrave and it was Wargarve who triumphed by 29 runs in a hard fought affair and saw them progress to the final to face Cookham Dean.

In the final, Cookham Dean held their nerve and produced a composed performance to secure the Blast title, with the home crowd playing its part in urging the team to success.
The presentations were led by Jim Rosenthal, former ITV sports presenter and president of Cookham Dean, who delivered a speech before the trophy and medals were awarded. The event was also streamed via Frogbox, with both the cricket and the presentation captured on video.
The day concluded with a well-attended barbecue, bringing players, members and supporters together to celebrate another successful Slam Finals Day. Special thanks are extended to Ian Davis and the Cookham Dean grounds team for their efforts in preparing the ground and staging an excellent event.
