Meet The Team – Neal Robinson

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Neal Robinson – Head of Performance

Meet Neal Robinson, Berkshire Cricket’s Head of Performance, who leads the county’s Performance Team with a clear focus on helping players be the best version of themselves.

About His Role

Neal leads the Performance Team, working closely with players to help them reach their potential, whatever level they are at. His role centres on creating environments that challenge, support, and develop players to perform with confidence and purpose.

What He Loves Most

“Helping players reach their potential, whatever level that is.”

His Cricket Journey

Neal plays his cricket for Wargrave Cricket Club, where he first captained the 1st XI 20 years ago — a testament to his long-standing commitment to leadership and performance within the game.

Sporting Inspiration

Roy Keane — admired for his ferocious competitiveness and uncompromising standards.

Vision for Cricket

Neal would happily see the end of the “old guard” in the bar telling players who get out that they “played the wrong shot,” while expecting risk-free cricket and winning performances.
For Neal, performance is about learning, intent, and embracing smart risk, not fear of failure.

Hidden Talent

Playing beautifully through the off side.
