PCS PRO SCORING COURSE LAUNCHED

February 17, 2026

One-Day Workshop Launched to Support the Growing Demand for Electronic Cricket Scoring

A new one-day training workshop has been announced to help cricket scorers embrace the increasing shift toward electronic scoring, focusing on the use of Play Cricket Scorer Pro (PSC Pro®).

As digital scoring becomes ever more popular across the recreational and professional game, this workshop has been designed to equip both new and experienced scorers with the knowledge and confidence to score matches electronically using PSC Pro®, a free scoring program for Microsoft Windows®-based computers. Developed in conjunction with ECB ACO scorers and fully integrated with the Play-Cricket League Management system, PSC Pro® provides a powerful and accessible platform for modern match scoring.

The course offers a comprehensive, hands-on introduction to the software. Participants will be guided through the full scoring process — from setting up a match at the start of play through to producing professional outputs such as scorecards and player wagon wheels.

In addition to core scoring functions, the workshop will provide practical tips and time-saving techniques, including how to make amendments quickly and accurately while play is ongoing — an essential skill in live match environments.

This training is ideal for club scorers, volunteers, league officials, and anyone looking to transition from traditional paper scoring to a digital system.

Workshop Highlights Include:

  • Setting up teams and fixtures in PSC Pro®

  • Live ball-by-ball scoring

  • Managing corrections and in-play amendments

  • Generating and printing scorecards

  • Producing player statistics, including wagon wheels

  • Best-practice hints and efficiency tips from experienced scorers

By the end of the day, attendees will have the confidence to score matches electronically and make full use of PSC Pro®’s integration with league management systems.

THE COURSE IS AT FALKLAND CC ON SATURDAY MARCH 21st between 9:30am and 2:30pm and costs just £15 to attend
