
Cricket in Berkshire continues to grow in schools, clubs and communities across the county. To support this momentum and ensure strong governance for the future, Berkshire Cricket is pleased to announce the appointment of five new Trustees who will help guide the organisation through the next phase of its development.
As cricket develops and the game reaches new audiences, Berkshire Cricket has reviewed its Board structure to ensure it reflects the skills and experience required to support safeguarding, participation, financial oversight and sustainable growth.
We are therefore delighted to welcome the five new Trustees to the Board.
Susannah Daniel
Susannah is the Headteacher of two schools in Reading, including one she founded in 2011 and led to becoming the first outstanding free school in the country, a judgement reconfirmed in 2024. She brings extensive safeguarding and governance experience and is a strong advocate for grassroots sport and equality of access. Susannah also joins our Nominations Committee.
James Fulton
James is Deputy Head at Eton College, where he leads on character education, safeguarding and behaviour. An experienced school governor across both state and independent sectors for over a decade, he has been involved in cricket as a player, coach and administrator. James has a particular interest in nurturing a love of the game in the next generation and will join our Talent Pathway Committee.
Matthew Greenough
Matthew is Head of Construction and Demolition in the Nuclear Decommissioning sector. Former Royal Engineer. Matt joins the Finance and Audit Committee and brings valuable financial and governance expertise.
Ishfaq Ishaq
Ishfaq is currently Chief Financial Officer of a major food group and previously worked with KPMG in their Consulting Division, delivering transformation projects across national and international organisations. He brings significant financial and governance experience and currently serves as a Trustee of the Burnham Memorial Grounds Trust. Ishfaq will also join the Finance and Audit Committee.
Toby Lancaster
Toby joins the Board bringing senior commercial leadership experience alongside a lifelong passion for the game. He has held senior roles at Nestlé, Heineken and Greencore and is currently Commercial Director at Europe Snacks. Having played high level club cricket in both Hampshire and Berkshire, including representative level, Toby is passionate about developing talent and supporting the future of cricket across the county. He will join the Talent Pathway Committee.

At the same time, we extend our sincere thanks to Omar Majid, Gulfraz Riaz and Stephen Spencer-Jones, who will step down from their Trustee roles after completing their terms. Each has made a meaningful contribution to the organisation during their time on the Board, and we are deeply grateful for the commitment, time and expertise they have given to cricket in Berkshire.
