Free Chance to Shine Street Cricket Sessions Return Across Berkshire
Free Chance to Shine Street Cricket sessions are back across Berkshire from today, Monday 7 September, offering young people the opportunity to play cricket, meet new people and get active in a safe and welcoming environment.
Delivered by Berkshire Cricket in partnership with Chance to Shine, the Street programme brings cricket directly into urban communities, using the game to increase aspiration, promote social cohesion and create opportunities for young people from diverse backgrounds.
With sessions running every week across Slough and Reading, there are opportunities for boys, girls and young adults to get involved – and all sessions are completely free to attend.
There is no need to own cricket equipment or have previous cricket experience. Just turn up, join in and give it a go!

Everyone is welcome
The Chance to Shine Street programme is designed to make cricket accessible to young people who may not otherwise have the opportunity to play.
Whether you’re completely new to cricket or already enjoy the game, the sessions provide a fun and informal environment to play, learn new skills and make friends.
The programme will continue throughout the year, giving young people regular opportunities to get involved in cricket close to where they live.
