Match Preview: Berkshire vs Hampshire
Berkshire return to 50-over action on Friday when they travel to the Nursery Ground at the Utilita Bowl to take on Hampshire in a showcase fixture, with Johnny Connell leading the side.
The match provides another fantastic opportunity for Berkshire’s players to test themselves against county opposition at one of the country’s premier cricket venues. Hampshire’s squad is expected to feature a blend of Second XI players alongside members of their first-team squad not involved in The Hundred, ensuring a highly competitive contest.
Confidence in the Berkshire camp will be high following an impressive opening NCCA Championship victory over Oxfordshire. With the National counties final on Sunday up in Ipswich several players will be rested which allows Berkshire to showcase our talented youngsters.
Play gets underway on Friday at 11:00 am at the Nursery Ground, Utilita Bowl, with Berkshire looking to build on an excellent start to the 2026 campaign. Supporters making the trip to Southampton will be warmly welcomed as Berkshire look to put on another strong display.
