Berkshire Cricket Dynamos Skills Festivals Off to a Flying Start

Berkshire Cricket’s Dynamos Skills Festivals have made an exciting start to the summer term, with the first three festivals successfully delivered across the county during the past 10 days.
The festivals are designed to support young players in developing the core skills needed for Dynamos Cricket through a series of fun, engaging and active skills stations. Each station focuses on key areas of the game, helping children build confidence, coordination and cricket understanding in an inclusive environment.
The programme is being delivered by the Berkshire Cricket Participation Team, with valuable support from local clubs including Theale & Tilehurst Cricket Club, Falkland Cricket Club and Slough Cricket Club.

Participation levels have already been extremely encouraging, with more than 30 schools involved so far. By the time the programme reaches half term, Berkshire Cricket expects over 130 schools from across the county to have taken part in the festivals.
Participation Coach Penelope Gwynne said:
“It has been fantastic to see so many children enjoying the festivals and developing their cricket skills in such a positive environment. The enthusiasm from the schools has been brilliant, and these events are a great way to introduce young people to Dynamos Cricket while building confidence, teamwork and enjoyment of the game. We’re really excited for the remaining festivals still to come this term.”
With seven more festivals still to come before half term, the initiative continues to play an important role in introducing more young people to cricket and strengthening links between schools, clubs and the wider community.
The Dynamos Skills Festivals are another example of Berkshire Cricket’s commitment to growing the game and creating positive first experiences for children across the county.
