Berkshire Cricket Launches Metro Bank ECB Core Coach Course for 2026

Berkshire Cricket is delighted to announce the return of the Metro Bank ECB Core Coach programme for 2026, providing aspiring coaches with the opportunity to gain an ECB coaching qualification while helping to grow and inspire the girls’ game across the county.

Delivered in partnership with the ECB and Metro Bank Girls in Cricket Fund, the programme has been specifically designed to support coaches working within clubs that already have a girls’ section or are looking to establish one.

The ECB Core Coach qualification is an entry-level coaching course for cricket in England and Wales, combining online learning with practical face-to-face modules led by experienced ECB Coach Developers. The programme is designed to give learners the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to independently lead player-centred coaching sessions.

The 2026 Berkshire Cricket Metro Bank ECB Core Coach course will take place across a series of face-to-face modules this autumn, with all candidates required to attend every session in order to complete the qualification.
